January 2019
Life on the farm is as exciting as ever. When I'm not writing, I'm helping my brother and nephew get the old farm house cleaned up. A ton of projects in the works, breathing life back in to the family stead.
As many of you know, last year my siblings and I made the difficult decision to put our elderly father into a full time care home. It was a difficult decision, but Dad transitioned well and even made some new friends. The nurses all love him, he's quite the charmer. My little dog Sugar has acquired her own fan club at the home. The staff and other residents look forward to her daily visits and always have treats or toys waiting for her. Sugar still hasn't learned her lesson when it comes to skunks though. I'm surprised my vet's office hasn't offered me a lifetime supply of Skunk Off yet. Still the best product for the job, I highly recommend it.

Spring Notes
The most exciting news of the year will be the release of the first of three stories through Harlequin's HQN imprint. What a wonderful career break for me. The stories are bigger, richer and longer than what you are probably used to seeing from me. The best part is that I've set the stories in my beloved home state of Kansas. We don't have many Amish here but we have some interesting differences from the rest of the country that I'm happy to highlight in my stories. The series will be called The Amish of Cedar Grove. The first book, "The Wish" will be out in May 2019
